There have been several High Profile Incidents in West Africa
that should raise Concerns in Europe and in the United States.
Several South American Drug Cartels have been using Airfields and Ports in West Africa to tranship
Cocaine and other Drugs to Europe.
This year Authorities in Senegal and Sierra Leone have made Record seizures of Cocaine. But the
Main Problem could be eminating from Guinea-Bissau. There were reports in April that 2.5 Million Metric Tons of Cocaine went
through the Country.
The Attorney General of the Country received Death Threats while she was attempting to Investigate
the Transfer.
Narcotics Interdiction has been a indicated to be a Priority for AFRICOM. So when will the DEA join
the effort to halt this problem that has the potential to destabilize a region that is a tinderbox?
