All Credit has to be Given to Amnesty International and the Online Gambian
Media for their hard work in reporting and Investigating this Crisis. However there is another player that may soon emerge
on the scene.
Recently a New Political Movement of Gambian Exiles was formed in the United States. Calling
itself the National Movement for the Restoration of Democracy in Gambia (NMRD-G) it has already issued a Press Release referring
to the Country being in Chaos.
In an Interview with the Freedom Newspaper the Spokesman stated that there are Short
Term and Long Term Goals that the Organization has.
Such as Reaching Out to the Obama Administration and setting up Radio and Television Services
in Neighboring Senegal to Inform the Gambian People about events occuring in the Country.
Also Preventing President Jammeh from becoming President for Life is another Goal of this Movement
as well.
