This Story does not Appear to be going away anytime soon. But
the Response from the Federal Government appears to be lacking at best.
Recent Reports indicate that there are now Three Other Cities where Young
Somali Men Are Being Recruited to Take Up Arms Against the Transitional Federal Government.
These Cities are Boston, Portland Maine and Columbus,Ohio.
Sadly these are the Cities where the Recruitment Efforts are known. What
about other Cities Such as Nashville and Ft. Collins, Colorado?
Somalia: Where Fighters are being Recruited within the United
States.
The Situation in these Four Cities creates several Questions:
We Know that the FBI and the Justice Department are Investigating. What about Local Law Enforcement and
Homeland Security?
The Media in Minneapolis has been vocal regarding this situation. Why are they the Only ones?
We Know that there are Major Problems within Somalia. The Ethiopians are Preparing to Withdraw. So are the
AU Peacekeepers. At first Glance this is a Defeat for US Interests.
There is Dissension within the Islamists now as well with Al-Shaabab being Critical of the Union of Islamic
Courts. Is Al-Shaabab or Their Supporters the Party behind this Recruiting Drive?
And will they be the Only Group with Ties to Africa to Recruit here in the USA?
