The Spread of Cholera in Sub-Saharan Africa continues unabated.
 
More than 1,100 have perished in Zimbabwe alone and over 20,000 people have been infected there.
 
The Disease has Spread to South Africa, Malawi, Zambia,Botswana, Mozambique and even the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
 
What can be done next?

This is just the lastest of a series of events that have kept the Affairs within Zimbabwe in the International Limelight since 2002.
 
The inability to fully implement a Government of National Unity after Two rounds of highly controversial Elections in 2008 is a major factor in the spread of this deadly disease.
 
The Government has run out of Water Purification Chemicals so that means any Water that is Potable may not be safe to Drink. The Rate of Inflation is so high that the Government probably can not afford to purchase them.
 
Another Reason for the Spread of the Disease is the Collapse of the Healthcare System within Zimbabwe. People are seeking care where they can find it and in the majority of the cases they are leaving the Country.

The People of Zimbabwe Continue to Suffer.

If the Situation Within Zimbabwe Does not Stabilize soon then the Rest of the Region will suffer as well. The Refugee Situation has created a War of Words between Zimbabwe and Botswana.
 
In Recent Weeks The Zimbabwean Government Accused its Botswanan neighbors of Assisting the Opposition MDC of Rasing an Army within its Borders. A Fact Finding Mission from SADC found that there was no evidence of this.
 
There are Growing Rumblings of Discontent within the Zimbabwe Security Forces As well.
 
The US Government has Sent Millions of Dollars in Aid to Fight the Spread of Cholera in Zimbabwe and Chemicals to properly treat the Water so it is safe to drink.
 
Several Diplomats has started to refer to Zimbabwe as a failed state as well.
 
This means whatever happens in Zimbabwe needs to happen soon.
